ABOUT ME
An engineer? A designer? An innovator? An artist? I want to try them all. My name is Yiqian (Oliver) Zhang and I am currently a Master of Engineering student in Mechancial Engineering at MIT. Prior to MIT, I earned my Bachelor of Science degrees in Industrial and Operations Engineering at the University of Michigan and in Mechanical Engineering at Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
I am a person of a diverse academic background and I would like to combine my expertise in both design and manufacturing through a career in product design. In my free time, I enjoy being a freelance artist on Artstation. Art offers me a fresh perspective to look at design and engineering. I always make sure that my design is functional, and also beautiful.
